River Kayaking
Lake Taupo is the source of the Waikato River, which is only five minutes drive from TLOEC. The Waikato River is suitable for learning to kayak, and also has a world class play wave, Fuljames or Ngawaapurua, which was the site of the 1999 World Freestyle Kayak Championship.
TLOEC students are accompanied by experienced and qualified river guides.
