Taupo Language & Outdoor Education Centre is a privately owned English language school, registered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority with accredited English courses. We have been teaching English since 1991.
Location
Our English school is based in Taupo, New Zealand. Taupo is situated on the northern shores of New Zealand's largest lake - famous for its spectacular scenery, kayaking and river rafting, geothermal areas and trout fishing. It is close to NZ's largest ski and snowboarding resorts at Whakapapa & Turoa at Tongariro National Park. Close to nature, it is a paradise. Taupo city is safe, friendly and an easy place for students to adapt to an English-speaking way of life becasue ONLY English is spoken on the streets of Taupo. You will have to speak 24 hours a day.
Student Counsellors
Bi-lingual student counsellors are available to help our students with their future study choices, medical, banking and travel arrangements, visa extensions and any other academic or personal problems. Students are introduced to their counsellor on their first day at school and provided with a 24 hour contact telephone number.
To enrol for a programme at Taupo Language, we require confirmation that you hold a comprehensive medical and travel insurance package, covering your period of enrolment. If you need medical and travel insurance we recommend Uni-Care Educational Travel Insurance Service.
